Yes. All of our pet care providers are bonded & insured through Dog Walks and More for the care of your home and your pets. We hold a business license as well.

    Yes, most services are available on weekends and Holidays. Be sure to reserve your spot early because we do quickly book up. Pick ups and drop offs are not available on Sundays and Holidays because we are closed. There is a $10 extra charge for holiday care.

    We also provide services in Sonoma and parts of Solano County.

    You can call us at the office (415-820-3240) or complete our Pet Inquiry form online. We will call you to discuss your pet care needs. A complimentary meeting between you and one of our professional pet care providers will be scheduled. This meeting will help familiarize the pet care provider with your pets and give you an opportunity to go over the pet’s routine and special dietary and exercise needs.

    The free consultation is a meet and greet that allows us the opportunity discuss you and your pet’s needs. All new canine clients are evaluated in order to determine their suitability to requested services and existing groups. During this visit, one of our pet care providers will:

    • Introduce themselves to you and your pet
    • Review & go over with you the information you provided on the Owner & Pet Information form
    • Capture feeding and care instructions
    • Collect and test your house key (if applicable)
    • Answer any additional questions you may have.

    If this is a match, we will place you on our schedule and you’re set!

    We try to provide you with the same pet care provider when you schedule services. However, there will be times when that person may not be available. In that instance, we will provide you with another equally qualified pet care provider who will have all the information about your home and pets.

    Our dog walking and daycare services are from Monday through Friday. We do require a minimum of 2 days a week and we ask that these be set days so that your dog and the pet care provider can have a regular weekly schedule.

    If your dog is able to respond to voice-commands and we have your permission we do allow the dog to run free on designated “dog approved” fire trails.  If you agree that you want your dog to be off-leash we will have you sign a contract stating that we are not responsible for your dog should he or she run off. Dogs get the maximum amount of exercise when they are allowed to run free and we do encourage this if your dog is responsive to voice-commands.

    Please call us! Flights get delayed, traffic gets snarled, dogs get sick. If last minutes changes occur, please call your pet care provider directly or call the office. We will make sure your pet is cared for.

    A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for daily dog walks and dog day care appointments. If notice is not given, you will be charged for the visit. We do require a 50% advance deposit for boarding and pet sitting reservations. Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to departure date in order to receive a full refund of the deposit. Since so many of our customers rely on us to provide advance, verified reservations before they can finalize their travel plans, we must ensure that every reservation we accept is “real” and highly likely to occur. It would be unfortunate to have to upset travel plans because of lack of available space, and then come to find that we could have accommodated them all along, because of late cancellations. This responsibility to our customers drives our deposit policy.

    If you are a current client and we have your keys, then yes! Additional fee for short notice may apply. New clients are excluded from same day service until after they have had a free consultation with us.

    That depends. For Pet Sitting services we obviously do need your key. For our other services, a key is needed if we must enter your home in order to pick up your pet for their daycare/walk. Having a key on file with us allows you to schedule pet care services at any time without having to coordinate key dropoff/pickup or leaving it under a mat. If you prefer to have your key returned to you, we can do so when you pick up your pet or if we drop off your pet. If a separate trip is warranted, then a  $20.00 fee applies.

    Yes! All pet care providers are screened prior to employment and are bonded and insured. Upon request, we will be happy to provide references. Your name and the content of your home always remain confidential. House keys are coded anonymously. Our pet care providers are familiar with alarm systems & gated entries and work with them frequently.

    If we suspect that something is wrong with your pet, we will call you at the emergency phone numbers we have on file for you. We will describe the situation we are observing to you. If you believe the veterinarian should see your pet, we will transport your pet to the veterinarian’s office you have provided for examination and treatment. In the event we cannot reach you, we will decide if your pet should be seen by the veterinarian. If necessary, we will take your pet for treatment to your Veterinarian. You will be billed for any extra time we spend for these services.

    If your pet experiences an emergency as defined by the American Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR manual, we will transport your pet directly to an emergency facility for treatment, then notify you once we have arrived at the emergency vet office.

    No not a contract but we do need a signed Pet Services Agreement form stating that you agree to let us into your home to care for your animals as well as that you are aware of and agree to our policies/procedures.

    We accept checks and credit cards for payment. Full-time walks and daycare are billed monthly. In-home boarding & pet sitting is billed after you meet your pet care provider and before your scheduled service begins.

    Tipping is not required but appreciated when a job is well done. If you would like to leave a tip, please place it in an envelope marked TIP. Money left on the counter will not be taken.
